Install the UniPrint Client

HaulWare Online now uses a Universal Printer (UniPrint) driver. This allows any Windows or Mac computer to print from HaulWare Online to any locally installed printer without the need for installation of any manufacturer printer drivers on the server. To enable this functionality, users must download and install a small program to their local machine to enable communication between their computer and FreightWare Online.

To install the UniPrint client on a Windows computer follow these steps:

1. Download the client install file from the HaulWare Support Site.
2. Double-click on the downloaded file to initiate the installation.
3. You can accept all of the default settings during the installation.
4. If you are currently logged in to HaulWare Online, log off the server.
5. Log in to HaulWare Online to begin using the new UniPrint driver.

To install the UniPrint client on a Mac computer follow these steps:

1. Download the correct UniPrint Client from the HaulWare Support site.
2. UniPrint Mac Client - 4.0.1 - For Mac OS X 10.8 or earlier
3. UniPrint Mac Client - 4.1.0.3 - For Mac OS X 10.9 or Later
4. Extract the downloaded file to a temporary folder.
5. Consult the documentation in the extracted folder for further installation directions.

If you are using Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 and UniPrint 4.1.0.2:

After the UniPrint Client is installed and running, you will need to add mapping to the UniPrint Drive in order to print

1. Fully Log Out of HaulWare Online
2. Make sure that UniPrint Client is running on your Mac a little dot will be shown under the icon if it is running
3. Open a Finder window and copy "UPClient.config" from "UniPrintDrive
4. 
5. Find the "Users" folder on your Mac Hard Drive
6. 
7. Paste "UPClient.config" to your base user folder. In the screenshot the user's name is "artronix"
8. 
9. Back in Remote Desktop edit your HaulWare connection using the pencil icon
10. 
11. On the next window click on the "Folders" tab, check the "Redirect folders" checkbox, and hit the "+" button near the bottom
12. 
13. Now, select the user folder that we pasted the UPClient.config file into on Step 5
14. 
15. Once selected your "Folders" tab should look similar to the screenshot. Now, hit the "Save" button near the bottom
16. 

You are now set up to print via HaulWare Online!

Note: The default setting is to prompt you for which printer you want to print to every time you print. If you want to always print to the default printer:

1. In the System Tray, Right Click the UniPrint Client Icon, blue square with white UP, and choose Options. Move Check box to Print Directly to my default printer.
